Dirisa ref 21

Dirisa (Kato) born 1997

Diriisa lost his beloved father when he was 5 years old and was left with his dear mother.  His mother is a market vendor where she earns income to sustain a family of 5 children.  Diriisa is a twin brother to Shaban Wasswa and happened to come to the orphanage home at the time when his mother fell sick and she could no longer afford to feed her children.  She also could not pay for the fees so Diriisa and Shaban ended up at the home.

Shafik ref 22

Shafik born 1997

Shafik did not see his father and he is told that his father died. His mother is a market vendor in Busega and rents a small house. Because she has no permanent job, her incomes are so little to sustain a family of three children alongside having health problems.

Shafik is now happily enjoying activities together with other children. He is most especially enthusiastic about art and crafts as well as football. He has two brothers.

Ivan ref 23

Ivan

Ivan born 1996 lost his father while 6 years old and was left under the care of his mother who is unemployed. He joined the orphanage in February 2009 after being identified by coach Ivan in a village soccer gala that was organized by KSEM.

Ibrahim ref 24

Ibrahim

Ibrahim born 1996 lost his dear father while 7 years of age and remained with his mother who earns a living through selling charcoal to sustain a family of 9 children. She rents a small single room that is not big enough to accommodate 7 people. She sought assistance from KSEM.
